The day after you graduate from a Coding Bootcamp and start looking for a job in the software engineering industry, it is exciting and nerve-wracking to send your resume to tech companies. After a few months, it can be very frustrating and demoralizing seeing rejection after rejection asking yet again for more experience. Today I want you to consider completing and applying to an apprenticeship that will boost your experience level to the max!

An apprenticeship gives you the ability to work with a team of experienced developers and mentors that help build your portfolio with real clients. It trains you for the real world of tech to get a sense of what it will be like working with a developer team and manager. You also go through an intense period of training and learning. These programs don’t 100% guarantee a job but it opens many new networking opportunities. Most often than not, these programs guarantee an interview with the company or team you worked under.

Two programs that I highly recommend you look into are Microsoft’s LEAP program and Lyft’s apprenticeship program.
